// A Little More Intimate, Now Don't Be Shy //
Appearance: Hadrian's appearance is very unlike the typical grey-skinned, dinner-plate eyed being you may have seen in textbooks and movies. He is very humanoid in appearance. Though his skin is not grey, he is extremely pale, and is very susceptible to sunburn.
Though he appears human, and thanks to a nosy government, Hadrian is unreasonably paranoid about his look's. His species doesnt really grow much hair or fur. So that said, his hair has always been fairly long around his shoulders.
As an alien he had no natural immunity to any Earth diseases - played heck with his immune system. He kept forgetting that he has a life support system that requires nourishment from time to time.
He didn't like earth food, either. It was quite a trick to get him to eat anything at first. If he could figure out a way to live on air, he probably would.
Also, his brain goes so much faster than his body can follow, and it frustrates him. As a child this made him unusually clumsy; he was always coming in with bumps, bruises, and broken bones. Hadrian's home planet had much lower gravity than Earth. It would explain his thin body habitus, his delicate musculature structure, and his fragile bones.
Still, growing up on Earth gave him advantages. His bones, genetically designed for maximal strength for minimal weight, has extra calcium deposition due to the increased gravity of his planet.
Hadrian has three fingers and a thumb on each hand, as well as four toes other either foot. How does he explain the missing digits? The story tend's to change depending on who ask's, but the one he usually stick's to is a bully cut off his pinky finger's. A little stupid, but most convincing. No one ever see's his feet unshoed, so he doesn't need to fabricate a lie for them. He also has a tail! Just kidding.
His natural eye colors are a light emerald green (left), and pale blue (right). Rian's left arm from his shoulder to his wrist is completely covered in white thorns, with a black background. He has a tattoo of the letter "G" in caligraphy around his left nipple though he doesn't usually tell people why. He has a the outline of a small heart on his right wrist, and he also has a tattoo of a heartogram just below his naval.
Rian's attire is a combination of skate and band merch. Most of his wardrobe consists of tight jeans, arm bands, scarves, skateshoes, most in the color black or deep red. He's never been one who'll wear shirt's.
Personality: Hadrian is is portrayed as relatively intelligent, nicely in shape, and attractive. All these things would be much more appealing if he wasn't so aware of it. His last few years at the school have cooled him considerably, but he's still a hot-head and very used to being the one in control/being looked to for guidance. More than capable of following when necessary or that's what he was planning, he doesn't take well to being removed from any position of persuasion or power. He's quick to anger, quick to judge, and quick to snap.
Despite all this, he does have a few redeeming qualities to his cockiness. He's a very organized person and once his head has cleared, is very good at delegating power and deciding whose best for what position. He has an open mind and is fast to apologize and rethink a statement. As much as certain people drive him up a wall, he does try to be a decent roll model and that keeps him away from most drugs and alcohol popular with his age. Shallow in many ways, he's as aware of his faults as his strengths, and that's probably what keeps him from being a total ass.
He is also tough, not in an unpleasant way, but... gutsy. He has a persistent use of smart-aleck (but accurate) comment's, has low frustration tolerance, poor impulse control, low tolerance for stupidity, a desire to belong to a group, but limited knowledge of how to “play properly” with others.
When he first showed up a year ago, he was described as somewhat a rogue. A little unreliable and double-faced, he tends to do what is in his own best interests and it takes a while before anyone can determine exactly what his ulterior motives are. Mostly he just wants someone to laugh with. He’s playful, cute, and damn quick, gotta love that. Not a dull moment with this guy, but watch your back...literally...
There is a bit of kindness in Hadrian's heart. It is there though most don't see it. It takes time for Rian to warm up to someone, but once he does he will have her ways of being quite kind and hospitable towards the person. Not having many friends has never bothered him for the plain fact that he would have to be kind to all of them. He found it easier to just keep a few good ones, maybe three at the most and they should know her nicer side. As for a 'soft' side, well it's yet to have been found. Hadrian hasn't put up fliers or sent a local announcement looking for it either.
It is still unclear whether Hadrian is a good or bad boy, but his persoanlity makes everyone wary of him and being feared tends to bring out the worst in people.
History: Hadrian come's from a small planet in the "Andromeda" galaxy, closest to the milky way galaxy where Earth is located. It is one of the very few planet's which are compatible with Earth in regards to oxygen, similar gravity, and species.
Why is Hadrian here? These day's he wonder's the exact same thing himself. The first reason is that Earth is the closest planet with living organism's within traveling distance, and the only one with intelligent life. Though you have to wonder how 'intelligent' humans actually are, sometimes.
His species are called "Andromed's", humanoid being's with a lifespan roughly double a Human's. Like any creature they are not impervious to harm; though thank's to the increased gravity, his bones are stronger than a Human's. Like I explained in his physical description, he has four fingers and four toes just like his other fellow Adromed's. What set's them apart from human's is their skin color, memory, an ability to tranfer memories, the four digit's on each hand and foot, third eyelid's and an ability to heal through touch. He explain's the treatment as something similar to the human art of Reiki, and that it feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Through evolution, Hadrian's race has developed the ability to harness this revivication ability.
The only downside is that the damage is often transferred onto the Andommed who is performing the treatment, eg: when the damage heal's, the infliction would be transferred to the person who is healing. Upside to that is Drommed's have faster healing capeabilities, thanks to their calcium deposit, so their body will heal too, albiet a little slower.
It is his greatest fear here that the governent will catch him and try and harvest his abilities by obtaining some of somatic stem cells. How do you recon they'll get them? Take a swab from
his cheek? Negative. Stool? Sadly, not that simple. Blood? Believe me, a needle would be a picnic compared to what they'd have in
store for Hadrian. Still don’t follow. Stem cells are multipotent. They are Lineage defined. The memory, memory transfer, the revivification, they all originate in Hadrian's cerebellum. In
order to cultivate them in a laboratory they would have to cut hus brain out.
Hadrian's galaxy is normally naked to the human eye, but that is not the case for him. He is able to see his galaxy from Earth, in thanks to a keen eyesight. Why did he leave it? 2.9 million light-years away, it's not just somewhere you can go as if it were as simple as walking down to the local corner-shop. No.
He was jettisoned. Bit of a cruel thing to do isnt it? He was on a science mission with a crew of thirty. The objective was to survey atmospheric conditions on CO2 spiking, M-Class planets, and photograph and study life to some degree. No, alien's dont really abduct or anally probe Human's. How much do you think someone can learn from an ass?
There was a chase between the crew, and a UFO controlling comittee on Earth. Hadrian's possition on the crew was the machinist. He was hired to custom make worn parts if they ever needed it. A little like they do in the Earth Navy. Of course the ship was considered almost-new; it didnt need spare parts! So they didn't need him. As far as they were concerned, Hadrian's job possition was right above the poor sucker who's shovelling the coal. He was expendable, so he was thrown from the ship as a distraction to help the other's escape.
Species name: "Dromeda" often reffered as "Drommed's"
Species appearance: Same as character appearance. Female's hand's excrete a pheromone which attract's males.
Powers and abilities:Lifespan roughly double a Human's. Not impervious to harm; though thank's to the increased gravity, his bones are strong. Also possesses the ability to heal other's through touch and revivication, though there is a downside that he may involuntarily inflict the damage onto himself.
The species on Hadrian's planet do not believe in a God or Goddess, or even a "deity" as Xara called it. In fact they didn't believe in any sort of omnipotent being's. Evolution was theie belief. If you knew an Andromed brain then you'd know about their memory. Andromed memory made them extraordinary. In them, the unconcious knowledge of ancestrial behavior called instinct had evolved. Stored in their brain's were not just their own memories but the memories of their forebears. They could recall knowledge learned by their ancestors, and under lucky circumstances, some could even remember their own evolution. Sometime's in special cases an Andromed may be able to pass on certain memories to another being. The process isn't painful but will leave both the Andromed and the person being shown the images very drained of energy afterwards.
Weaknesses: The same as any Human's; he can get hurt, sick, and die just like everyone else. His hands and feet risk his exposure everyday. He doesn't like the taste of most human food's; preffering sugary food-stuff's, and canteloupe.
Origin: Alien
